Attendance

We are proud of our curriculum offer and to ensure that children can access this, they need to have good attendance and punctuality.
As a school we have committed to:
- Support families to ensure they are following the Education Act 1996 which states that parents of compulsory school age children will ensure they receive an efficient full-time education, suitable to their age, ability, aptitude and SEND through regular attendance.
- Follow the requirements of the DfE Working Together to Improve School Attendance 2024
- Ensure each child’s attendance matters are dealt with on a personalised level
- Provide information and support to prevent children from becoming attendance concerns
Families should:
- Be familiar our school attendance policy
- Inform school of reasons for your child’s absence
- Cooperate with school efforts to improve attendance
- Share any concerns relating to attendance with school at the earliest opportunity
- Not book holidays in term time. These will not be authorised and may result in a local authority fine.
